Daylish Dish - Mobile app creation
“The Daily Health Conference wants designers to rethink how people can adopt and commit to a health-improving routine".
Create an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) app. Challenge accepted.
We worked on a diet & nutrition app helping users follow a plan and upload/pick up different meals shared by the community.
Role - UX/UI Designer
Team - Jasmin/Yeshi/Thomas
Project duration - 8 days
Context
Health and wellness have taken over the market for mobile apps. Daylish Dish goal is to help its users to adopt an healthy lifestyle. We gathered information first by researching the market and then by interviewing an expert. This meeting led us to create a survey to understand the patterns of people who have followed a diet/nutrition plan.
For this challenge we had 10 days to go through the Design Thinking Process and come up with new features and functionalities for a wellness diet and nutrition app Daylish Dish. The cultural diversity of our team (Egypt, Tibet & France) nourished our project!

Overview
Personas and problem statements
We did a 'Worst Idea' exercise and brainstormed to find our main app feature. The idea was to empathize on this community-based platform and offer recipes to help user tailor their daily meal plan.
We also added features like progress, daily intake, weight tracking to offer a global experience.
At this point we clearly saw the main points that concern the users: we could then identify our persona that we’ll be designing for.

User flow and Moodboard
After sketching the low-fi, we implemented the key features to make the user journey smooth and easily accessed. The prototype was really starting to shape up when we got to the mid-fi, our black and white version without details. Testing could begin, we gave testers a specific task and were satisfied to see them take the happy path!
The user flow of our MVP (Minimum Viable Product) was focused on the task of the user setting his new plan. This includes opening the app, open any product page and add it to his favorites, add recipes... Our moodboard helped us pick the colors green and yellow for the styleguide to be consistent with the market and bring healthy and self-esteem together.
Prototype & Test
High fidelity prototype
This is often the best part, especially at the end of challenges like this one. The final product!
Our High-Fidelity prototype incorporated all the elements we need to deliver a final usable product, as splash screen and loading screens.
Next steps & Conclusion
Of course there are some elements that we wish we added, more features but also more usability tests. We made the best of this challenge and worked as a team, capitalizing on each members strength.
